Seeing a
doctor/primary care professional
Appointments
Patients are encouraged to see their registered doctor so that
continuity of care can be maintained. However, if patients prefer, they
may see any doctor.
All consultations are by appointment only.
Routine Appointments are offered morning and afternoon Monday to Friday
at 10 minute intervals.
Emergency appointments are available every weekday with either a GP or
through our Primary Care Nurse (PCN) service.
Emergency appointments with a GP should be used for the specific illness
for which you require a same day appointment. They are at 5 minute
intervals and you are requested to consult only about the emergency
problem. Should you need to discuss other matters with your GP, it is
recommended that you make a routine appointment at another time.
Please also remember that due to the nature of emergency appointments,
individual medical cases may necessitate longer appointments which may
cause delays. Thank you for your understanding.
Missed appointments waste valuable clinical time. If you are not able to
make your appointment, please do call us to let us know, as we may be
able to offer your appointment to another patient, even up to the last
minute, though we would prefer as much notice as possible.
