St James's Surgery is a long established forward thinking 5 Partner practice. Our modern purpose-built premises provides excellent facilities for our patients who are cared for by a dedicated team of doctors, practice nurses, midwives, district nurses, physiotherapist and community staff. We also have a range of private practitioners including an Osteopath, Chiropodist and Massage therapist who are regulated and indemnified by their own professional bodies. We are a short walk from the historic Royal Crescent and nearby Victoria Park and St James's Square.
Appointments can be booked ahead and for urgent problems we offer same day and telephone appointments. For people with work commitments we open for a late night surgery on a Monday and also on Saturday mornings.
The building provides access from the road and we have limited parking for cars. A cycle rack is provided and buses also operate along Julian Road.
Toilets with baby changing facilities are provided, with the option for a parent to infant feed privately in a separate room.
Our branch surgery at Junction Road located in Oldfield Park provides access to a GP, nurse and phlebotomist for those patients on the south side of the city.
We strive to provide the best patient experience and consistently achieve a high level of quality in our clinical outcomes. We will be delighted to show new patients around the surgery by appointment with our Practice Co-ordinator.
We currently have a Pharmacist Technician, here two half days a week until the end of March.
Karen will be helping us with prescription queries, discharge summaries from hospitals and general drug enquiries. We hope that her services will assist the GP’s over the busy Winter months.
